Learn how you can send photos and media files by email using Elements Organizer.
You can share files using email in the following ways.
Combine images into a single PDF file. Your recipients canview the PDF file as a slideshow using the free Adobe Reader software.
Send image or media files as individual email attachments. Youcan specify the size of the photo.
Note:
All tags and metadata are preserved in your emailed file.
Display a photo directly in the body of an email message.
If you plan to email a project, see About projects.
Select the desktop emailclient to use for sharing photos. The client is used as defaultwhen you share photos in Elements Organizer.
From the EMail Client menu, choose one of the following, and then click OK:
(Windows) Microsoft Outlook® to choose the application as the default.
(Windows) Adobe E‑mail Service if you do not use Outlookor Outlook Express, but want to be able to email directly to recipientsfrom Elements Organizer.
(Windows XP) Outlook Express® tochoose the application as the default.
(Windows Vista) Windows Mail to choose the application asthe default.
(Windows 7) Windows Live Mail to choose the application asthe default.
(Mac OS) Mail to choose the application as the default.
(Outlook 2011 for Mac OS) Microsoft Outlook® tochoose the application as the default.
(Mac OS) Microsoft Entourage to choose the application asthe default.
If your images are in a format other than JPEG and youwant to mail them as JPEG images, select Convert Photos to JPEGs.
Choose an option from the Maximum Photo Size menu, anduse the Quality slider to adjust image resolution. Higher valuesincrease the file size.
Select recipients of the email by clicking a name inthe Select Recipients list (the names you see are from your contactbook.) To edit recipients in the contact book, click the edit recipientsicon .
If you have not configured a contact book, you can laterenter names of recipients directly in the email client.
Click Next. The email containing selected attachmentsalong with the addresses of recipients is displayed.
If Elements Organizer doesn’t supportyour preferred email application, attach the file manually. Seeyour email application’s Help for information about attaching filesto an email.
Edit the contents of the email message, and click Send.
Thecontact book helps you maintain a listing of your commonly usedemail addresses. Configuring your contact book in Elements Organizerhelps you quickly send photos to a person or group of people.
Type a name, email address, and other information, asdesired, for the contact, and then click OK.
Import addresses into the contactbook (Windows only)
Instead of typing in addresses, you can importthem from Outlook or Outlook Express. You can also import addressesfrom a vCard file. A vCard (VCF) file is an automated signaturein an email containing the sender’s contact information.
In the Choose Contact Source dialog box, select the optionfrom which you want to import contacts. For vCard Files, selectthe VCF file on your computer.
Select one or more entries in the list, click Delete,and then click OK.
Select an entry, and click the Edit button (or double-clickan entry). Edit the entry, and then click OK.
Type a name for the group in the Group Name text box.
Add members to the group by selecting an entry in theContacts list and clicking the Add button to move it to the Memberslist. Shift-click to add adjacent contacts or Ctrl-click to addnonadjacent ones.
To remove contacts from the group, select one or moreentries in the Members list, and click the Remove button.
Click OK to close the New Group dialog box. The groupis added to your contact book.
Export contact information to vCardfiles (Windows only)
To select a contact, click it. To select more than onecontact, Ctrl-click each contact.
Select a location on your computer for the vCard file,and then click OK.
